The 85 graduates of the class of 2022-23 marched in procession into The Brickyard in what has become a Jackson Academy tradition. Conducting commencement ceremonies in the outdoor setting started during the pandemic but was so popular that it has continued.
Congratulations to Jackson Academy’s Most Beautiful Mary Elise Lowe and Most Handsome Merritt Nations, and all the beauties and beaus for the 2022-23 school year. They were recognized at recent end of the year awards ceremonies.

or the third consecutive year, the JA DU Club has earned the title of top high school chapter for the state of Mississippi and claimed the coveted Duck Bowl trophy.
Jackson Academy’s bands and color guard members put together an end-of-the-year performance for JA, held May 2 in the Performing Arts Center. The program featured the Beginner Band, Middle School Band, Upper School Band, and Color Guard, as well as individual soloists.
The Jackson Academy Association (JAA) is the parent organization of the school that raises funds to support classroom and extracurricular activities. One of the JAA’s fundraising events, A Blue & White Night, will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the Country Club of Jackson.
Last week, the Jackson Academy girls tennis team earned the MAIS Championship for the eighth season in a row. The JA boys team received runner-up honors. Way to go, Raiders!
