Lady Raider Signs With Holmes Community College

Addi Roberts signed to continue her soccer journey at Holmes Community College. Addi is the daughter of Stacy and James Roberts. She has been a member of the Jackson Academy soccer team for six years and a varsity starter for the last four years. Addi is also involved in the track and field team, throwing shot put and discus. This year Addi won a state championship in shot put.

Student Gains Real-World Experience as Replay Operator for SEC Network

Jackson Academy senior Samuel Long answered an opportunity from SEC Network. Saturday, November 19, was a busy day for Samuel. The Raider Network team member had worked five MAIS Championship games the two nights before. With Mississippi State University having an 11 a.m. kickoff for Saturday’s football game, Samuel started his day at 4:30 a.m. to make a 7 a.m. crew call in Starkville.

Jackson Academy held a college signing event for three Lady Raiders who intend to continue their athletic careers in soccer and volleyball. Addison Comer, Mary Grace Foster, and Lakin Laurendine, surrounded by teammates, coaches, family members, faculty, fellow students, and media members, signed for college scholarships on November 9 in the Learning Commons.
