JA Student to Compete in Kentucky this Month

Growing up with a grandfather who is a veterinarian and a mom who manages the veterinary office, Jackson Academy senior Ann Cole Hammons is accustomed to being around animals. She rode horses and competed for several years. A JA student since K3, she began to show animals through the Mississippi 4-H program and is now in her tenth year as a competitor.

Volleyball Continues to Dominate, Winning Eighth State Title in School History

The Lady Raiders defeated MRA 3-0 to bring home JA’s fourth consecutive title. The 2022 team finished the season 40-5, with the losses coming from out-of-state teams. Coach Melissa Denson and the team participated in tournaments such as the Nike Tournament of Champions in Tampa, Florida, and the Private Schools Championships at the University of West Georgia.
