Last Thursday along the streets of New York City and on screens tuned to NBC, Tom Turkey opened Macy’s ninety-fifth Thanksgiving Day Parade. Following the Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Blues Clues floats, 15 of JA’s senior cheerleaders and Accents performed with Spirit of America Productions’ dance and cheer groups.
On November 11, 1919, Americans observed the first anniversary of the First World War’s end. This day of solemn remembrance was called Armistice Day and was celebrated in honor of all those who served during the war.
Jackson Academy has two Francophones helping Upper School students discover the beauty of the French language and culture. Monsieur Zoubir Tabout and Madame Tanya Newkirk offer French 1-4 this year.
For the second week in a row, Jackson Academy’s Class of 2022 had a banner day as three more seniors signed papers committing them to continue their academic and athletic careers at Austin Peay State University and Mississippi College next year.
