The inaugural junior high Scholars’ Bowl team competed in the MAIS State tournament on Wednesday, November 1. The Scholars’ Bowl team is composed of sixth and seventh grade students and coached by Brandon Richardson.
“I am very proud of our young men and women for their hard work this fall,” said Coach Richardson. “We went from a fun idea I proposed to competing in tournaments very quickly, and the students have really seemed to enjoy competing in academic competitions.”
Coach Richardson and the team are looking forward to the spring competition season. The sixth and seventh grade students can continue to compete and prepare for competitions the next school year when they will have completed more math and science courses that will be helpful for Scholars’ Bowl competitions.
